The Drachenwand via ferrata in St. Lorenz, opened in spring 2009, offers a medium-difficulty challenge categorized as D/C and features spectacular panoramic views over Lake Mondsee. While generally of moderate difficulty, it requires alpine experience, sure-footedness, and good physical condition, especially for the challenging descent, classified as a high-difficulty alpine trail. Due to numerous incidents, it is recommended to undertake the via ferrata only with appropriate equipment and sufficient experience. The tour should be planned for at least 4 hours and not attempted in wet conditions. The via ferrata is not suitable for children under 14 or those without adequate experience.
